Description

PENTAZOCINE (pen TAZ oh seen) treats severe pain. It is prescribed when other pain medications have not worked or cannot be tolerated. It may also be used to cause drowsiness before a procedure. It works by blocking pain signals in the brain. It belongs to a group of medications called opioids.
